I’m a Motherf*lk too.
Yes, I’m a nutritionist but I’m also a;
Mumma, tea drinker, deep thinker, space holder, big feeling haver, Dirty Dancing obsessed, kitchen dance party DJ, snack bitch, spicy brained, chocoholic, and astrology believer. We probably have a lot in common.
Mother Folk Nutrition was born from the depths of sleep deprivation and being exhausted by motherhood.
I created it as a platform for sharing knowledge on how to recover from the depletion that comes with motherhood.
It is a place to be heard and seen, there is no judgment here.
I am a nutritionist and a doula and in that, I hold space for you to share your story, and your journey, for you to ask questions, and for us to create a way forward for you that works for you and the life you live.
I have been a clinical nutritionist since 2017 and in that time had two children, lived through the pandemic years, and worked with mother and infant groups.
My journey to motherhood has been long and heartbreaking, I spent the best part of my twenties doing pre-conception work, acupuncture, fertility cleanses, IVF, and multiple surgeries. I came into motherhood depleted and exhausted. And then the hard work of being a mum hit me like a tonne of bricks. I’m still recovering, my hair is still recovering! But I know what it’s like to be there in the fog and confusion and I’ve come out the otherside with so much empathy and passion for helping other mums find themselves and regain their energy.
“The thing that I discovered that was so impactful is being seen and heard. When we have a safe space to tell our stories we can heal. “
- Much love, Alexi
