Things you might need some Motherf*lk support with.

Our gut is the centre of our health! When something is wrong in the gut it has a flow on effect to almost every other part of the body. It’s where our serotonin is created (our happy neurotransmitter), our immune system has the majority of its cells in the gut and our hormones rely on our gut to function properly! Gut health is something I am deeply passionate about as it is so overlooked as the cornerstone to our health. I am qualifed and have undertaken extra studies in gut microbiome testing.

Painful, heavy periods are not normal. Absent periods are not normal. There are many variations of normal and many people believe pain is normal, its common but can point to other things like endometriosis and fibroids. A lot of us are told to take the pill to help with the pain but it’s nothing more than a bandaid that has its own side effects. Let me help you get to the crux of the issues and tailor treatments to help you have a better periods.

Pre-conception planning should ideally be started a minimum of 3 months before you start to try to fall pregnant. The reason this is so important is that both sperm and ovulatory cycles have a 90 day life. This means that you have the capacity to influence the health of the sperm, your uterus and eggs and give your body the best chance at conceiving. Creating an optimal environment for pregnancy to take place.

Nutritional care throughout pregnancy differs from person to person which is why individualised support is so important. Together we can make sure you are properly nourished, catering to the needs of you and your growing baby.

Postpartum is a time when your nutrient needs are the highest they will ever be. Not only do you need the right nutrients to help your body heal and recover, but you also need the right nutrients to sustain a growing baby if you’re breastfeeding. This is a time that lots of parents find overwhelming and often forget to eat proper meals. Checking in with you a week after birth means we can discuss how to rebuild your iron stores, heal any tears, and help you get to a point where you feel like you’re thriving.

Postpartum depletion can occur anytime after having a baby. Postpartum is forever. And this isn’t just for live births, every pregnancy has a postpartum, no matter the outcome. Depletion can be quick or slow, and a lot of the time we don’t even notice until our hair starts falling out, or our stress and mum rage peaks. Depletion looks different for everyone and requires a personalised approach to help you feel supported.

While I am not a lactation consultant, I have breastfed two babies until they were both 2. I have fed through multiple bouts of mastitis. I have helped many women while I was a doula, and have a lot of resources and tricks up my sleeve.

Our vaginal health can be altered during pregnancy and birth, especially if we have been on antibiotics, or hormonal drugs, or were unable to eat a variety of foods. This is often such a taboo subject and something that people are afraid to seek help with. Please don’t feel like anything is TMI, I have taken extra studies in this area to be able to effectively treat vaginal issues.
